SOCHI, Krasnodar Region, Sep 29 (PRIME) -- Cooperation between Russia and Turkey in the fight against the pandemic will help boost the economy and tourism, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday.
“The work is going … at a good pace. I think this will help the recovery of the economy in general and the tourism industry in particular,” Putin said.
The pandemic has caused great damage to the tourism industry in the world, but its recovery depends on cooperation in the fight against the coronavirus, Putin said.
About 2.5 million Russian tourists visited Turkey in January–September, Putin said.
